Red Magic Gaming Pad Launch Announcement
On September 5th, Red Magic officially announced the release of its Gaming Pad in China. Leading up to the launch, the company teased several impressive features of the tablet, including its chipset, cooling technology, and display specs. The Gaming Pad also achieved a remarkable score on the AnTuTu benchmark. Recently, Red Magic revealed the design and color options for the device, although there has been no word on different screen sizes.
Design and Color Options
The official design of the Red Magic Gaming Pad was revealed in a Weibo post. The tablet will be offered in two color variants: Dark Knight and Silver Wing, featuring a unique partially transparent back panel.
The rear design includes a vertical transparent section that prominently displays the brand logo at the center. In the top right corner, you’ll find the camera module, accompanied by an LED flash and customizable circular RGB lights arranged vertically below it.
The front camera is integrated into a recessed slot on the right bezel, and the flat display is bordered by relatively wide bezels. The power button is positioned on the right side, while the bottom edge houses the speaker unit and a USB Type-C port.
Key Features
The Red Magic Gaming Pad boasts a stunning 2.8K display with a resolution of 2,880 x 1,800 pixels, a refresh rate of up to 144Hz, and a 16:10 aspect ratio. It is touted as the “first naked-eye 3D tablet” featuring 90Hz AI-driven eye tracking technology.. The tablet is expected to be available in two screen sizes: 10.8 inches and 12.4 inches.
Under the hood, the Gaming Pad is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor and features a hefty 10,100mAh battery that supports 120W wired fast charging. It will come with 16GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 512GB of UFS 4.0 storage, all running on an Android 14-based user interface.
Additionally, the tablet includes a four-speaker system and utilizes “PAD Magic Cooling ICE 2.0,” a sophisticated nine-layer cooling technology. For photography enthusiasts, the device will feature a 50MP rear camera and a 20MP front camera.
