Oppo Find N5 Release Timeline and Specs Leaked: Will It Become the Thinnest Foldable Phone?

The Oppo Find N5 is reportedly in development as the successor to last year’s Find N3 model. Although Oppo has yet to officially announce the launch of this new book-style foldable smartphone, leaks have surfaced detailing its expected release timeline and specifications. The Oppo Find N5 is anticipated to debut in early 2025 and may feature a sleek design powered by the yet-to-be-released Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 SoC. Additionally, the device will be marketed as the OnePlus Open 2 in certain regions, following last year’s OnePlus Open, which was a rebranded version of the Find N3 in select markets.

Key Details About the Oppo Find N5

Tipster Digital Chat Station revealed on Weibo that the Oppo Find N5 is anticipated to debut in the first quarter of next year, potentially alongside the OnePlus Open 2. This comes after the introduction of the Oppo Find N3 in October 2023.

The upcoming Oppo Find N5 is rumored to come with a 2K resolution display and be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 SoC. Its camera system is set to include a triple rear camera arrangement, led by a 50-megapixel Sony sensor, along with an unspecified periscope lens. Additional features may include an alert slider and a waterproof design.

The design of the Oppo Find N5 is expected to include a large circular camera island similar to its predecessor. With a body thickness around 9.x mm, it is claimed to be “record-breakingly” thin, potentially making it slimmer than the Galaxy Z Fold 6 (12.1 mm) and the Oppo Find N3 (11.7 mm).

Given that the Oppo Find N3 was the largest model in the OnePlus lineup, speculation suggests that the Find N5 may also be rebranded as the OnePlus Open 2.
