Anticipated Features of the OnePlus Ace 5 Series
According to a post on Weibo by tipster Digital Chat Station, the OnePlus Ace 5 series will boast a custom BOE X2 8T LTPO flat display with a 1.5K resolution and ultra-slim bezels on all sides.
The base model, OnePlus Ace 5, may come equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, while the Pro variant is likely to utilize the upcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 SoC. Both smartphones are expected to be powered by a robust 6,000mAh battery.
In terms of photography, both models are projected to have a triple rear camera setup featuring 50-megapixel sensors. However, it appears that neither device will include a periscope lens. For security, an ultra-thin optical fingerprint sensor is likely to be integrated into both models.
Additionally, the OnePlus Ace 5 series may showcase a right-angled metal frame. Reports suggest that the Pro version might feature a glass ceramic body with chamfered edges. Positioned as mid-range devices, they are anticipated to launch in China around November this year.
For context, the OnePlus Ace 3 Pro was released in China in June, while the standard Ace 3 made its debut in January 2024. The OnePlus Ace 3V was introduced in April, but there are currently no details available regarding a potential OnePlus 5V model.
